Dear CLYC Members,

The COVID-19 pandemic is impacting us in unprecedented ways, affecting our lives due to illness and interruption of our regular routines. As members of the CLYC, we are blessed with family, friends and an incredible gathering place on the lake. Others in our communities are not as blessed, especially during this time of extraordinary social and economic challenge. If you haven’t already, please reach out and support your neighbors, local businesses, health care providers and others that need assistance in our communities.

Because of the impact of COVID-19 in our lives, the Officers and Board of Directors of our club have decided to suspend fund raising for the remodeling of our main room for a year. This will give us time to concentrate on responding to and recovering from COVID-19, with the hope of being in a healthier position a year from now. Thank you to the generous members who donated already. Your donation will be refunded.

There are several families who have not yet renewed their memberships to the club. If you haven’t renewed already, please renew your membership and edit your contact information if needed, since it will be printed in the yearbook soon. Because of the pandemic, we are going to waive the late fee until May 1. If you have membership renewal questions, please contact Tom Dunlop at tgdunlop@gmail.com.

The special membership meeting on Sunday, May 3 to review proposed changes to the bylaws is cancelled and will be re-scheduled later this summer.  Please check our website calendar (see link below) for other event changes. We will monitor state and local restrictions due to COVID-19 and will modify our club event calendar accordingly to protect the health of our members.
